2019 Events At The Lodge

The Lodge planned two events for our Earth Day Celebrations in April: one on April 6th, 2019 and one, to come, on April 22nd, 2019 (actual Earth Day). See our blog post for more details on next week’s event.

The Wild Saturday Program at Woodchuck Lodge begins in May. The first Wild Saturday will be May 4th, 2019 at 1pm: a talk by nature writer Leslie T. Sharpe, author of The Quarry Fox and other Catskills critters. Details on our blog.

The Walt Whitman 200 Celebration will begin on Friday May 31st, 2019 at Union Grove Distillery in Arkville. On Saturday June 1st, 2019 at 1pm, we will have a guest speaker at Woodchuck Lodge. Professor Jim Warren, Burroughs Scholar, Washington & Lee College Professor and husband of our trustee Julianne Warren, will speak on the porch of Woodchuck Lodge 1pm. Jim Warren speaks from Woodchuck Lodge veranda on “The Nature of Two Writers”. Details will be up on the blog in the next few weeks.
